Toppling Furniture

Furniture can tip over and cause serious injury and even death. Children are particularly susceptible to harm from tipping furniture if it is not properly secured.

To reduce the risk:

  •  Always secure this furniture to the wall using an appropriate anchoring device.

  •  Never allow children to stand, climb or hang on drawers, doors or shelves
  •  Never open more than one drawer at a time.
  •  Always place heavier items in the lowest drawers.
  •  Never place a television on furniture not designed to support it.
  •  Always secure your television with an appropriate anchoring device.

We strongly recommend anchoring all freestanding storage furniture and entertainment units to reduce the risk of tip-over incidents.
